One challenge of meditating daily is that it can start to feel stale if you only practice one technique over and over again. At One Mindful Breath we're committed to supporting each other's meditation practice, so on Wednesday 16 October we'll be exploring meditation techniques the many of us haven't tried before. Over the last 2400 years a huge number of different techniques have developed so we'll have a smorgasbord of options to try. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced meditator, you'll find something to challenge you!
One of the benefits of meditation practitioners often experience is they find themselves better able to manage stress and anxiety, and challenge catastrophic and negative thinking. This week is mental health awareness week and we’ll be meditating together followed by a group discussion on people’s experiences of how meditation impacts stress and wellbeing.
Wednesday 31 July is a sangha (community) evening. We start with a meditation session and then have a potluck. Please bring something to share – food or drink, or party treats – as your contribution to celebrating community. The event is open to everyone!
