With meditators and secular dharma practitioners spread all around this planet, supporting each other in our practice is really important – if we reverse the order of the three jewels of traditional Buddhism, this puts community at the start, the teachings next, and then the example set by Gotama, the Buddha.
Whether you’re in Wellington or elsewhere, you practice on your own or are part of a group, if you’re wanting additional support for your practice you’re welcome to take part in these online secular Buddhist practice sessions.
These meetings take place on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 19:30–20:30 New Zealand time, and they may extend for a further half hour or so if the conversation gets interesting.
Led by Ramsey Margolis, we start the session with a short meditation, follow this with a short period for reflection and journalling, and end with a discussion on an aspect of secular Buddhism. There will also be opportunities for questions.
