Live streaming from Sydney, Lenorë Lambert will be speaking to us on undermining reactivity and, of course, taking questions.
We all know that with reactivity arises craving and aversion: the desperate desire for things to be different. The second great task invites us to let go of this reactivity. Nice in theory, but how exactly do you do that? One powerful method is to sit down for a tea party with your inner demons.
All welcome, and there’s no fixed fee to attend. We ask that you give a donation for the teachings and a separate donation for the community.
Lenorë has been the energy behind Australia’s secular Buddhist website at www.secularbuddhism.org.au since 2012. She is an entrepreneur, an elite Masters athlete and a dharma teacher.
She has served as the President of Sydney Insight Meditators and has been running a secular Buddhist sangha on the northern beaches of Sydney for over a decade.
Her focus is dharma practice in the cut and thrust of daily life, whether that’s the corporate world, the athletics track, or the modern ‘every day’. Despite running 400m in under a minute, she is also the President of PAR – People Against Rushing – an imaginary organisation that exists to help us slow down and live more mindfully.
Doors open at 7:15pm, we start at 7:30, and our evening together ends with tea and biscuits. No registration is needed, simply turn up. While there is no fixed fee for this event, your generous donation will be gratefully accepted.
