Introduction to meditation

There's no better way to build a foundation in mindfulness than by meditating with others. Join us for a relaxed session and discover the benefits in a beginner-friendly environment.

Our last weekly session of 2021 will be on Wednesday 15 December, and we’ll be back on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

  • Beginner’s Mind offers basic meditation techniques and is a great introduction to meditating in a group environment. The session is suitable to all of whom are interested in meditation - regardless of skill level. You can ask questions and the session is broken into shorter meditations to ease you into the practice.

  • While there’s no fixed fee for this event, dana (donations) are gratefully accepted.

  • We meet in the Wellington Friends Centre at the very end of Moncrieff Street on the first Wednesday of every month. Go up the steps and we're in the room to the right that looks back down the street.
