One Still Day – a silent retreat

What will you discover in the silence? In the noise and distraction of our busy lives it can be difficult to find the space to quieten our minds and enjoy the full wonder of the world around you.

Join us for a friendly, relaxed silent meditation retreat in which you will settle your mind, deepen your mediation practice and leave with a lasting sense of calm.

Held only minutes from the CBD at the Home of Compassion, it will consist of a mix of walking and sitting meditation and is suitable for all experience levels. It’s the perfect opportunity to deeply reconnect with your mindfulness practice.


Speak with Alex Carr during a One Mindful Breath Wednesday evening session at the Friends Centre in Moncrieff St, Mt Victoria, phone or text him on 021 921 821, or send him an email. Please register before Friday 15 March. Alex will email you guidelines a few days before the retreat.

In support of your own and the group’s meditation, please arrive on time and stay for the entire day.


The generosity of others enables us to run this workshop and ask only for donations. Participants will have the opportunity to offer your generosity both to Alex for his facilitation, and to the community, enabling us to run future events. This is sometimes referred to as ‘paying forward’.
