Engaged Buddhism – ethical practice in a time of dirty politics

  • Wellington Friends’ Centre 7 Moncrieff Street Mt Victoria, Wellington New Zealand (map)

Politicians and political parties that don't engage in underhand practices against those opposed to them are, it seems, few and far between.

Overseas, we’ve seen some, such as Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders, who appear to put principles first, yet here we saw a party leader, Metiria Turei, fall on her own sword when she tried to do so.

With a general election front of mind, on this Wednesday evening, Derek LeDayn and Ramsey Margolis will focus on secular Buddhist ethical practices that with their focus on others allow us to thrive in difficult times.
