When practicing walking meditation, aim to stroll along the beach slowly. The intention is to feel every footstep, and being shoeless on the beach is great for this.
We will walk for 40 minutes, then gather together for a brief conversation and head off for a drink afterwards.

‘When you walk mindfully, just enjoy walking. The technique to practice is to walk and just be exactly where you are moving. Your true destination is the here and the now, because only in this moment and in this place is life possible. The address of all the great beings is ‘here and now’. The address of peace and light is also ‘here and now’. You know where to go. Every in-breath, every out-breath, every step you make should bring you back to that address.’
As well as walking on the Earth, we need to care for it. Bring a yellow council rubbish bag or a green council recycling bag so you can pick up any rubbish you come across.
