A meditation session lasts 40 minutes and we follow it with a few minutes to recollect and, if we want, journal what happened during our meditation. So you may wish to bring a pad and a pen/cil.
We may then discuss how things went during the session, other matters related to mindfulness, meditation, and a secular approach to the Buddha’s teachings.
COMING TOGETHER TO MEDITATE, TALK AND LAUGH
The topic for discussion this week was Our Sense of Self and the evening was led by Martin Baynton.
Martin has been using yoga and meditation in his daily life since the early seventies. He is not a teacher of meditation but has agreed to share one of the focus techniques he uses in his own daily practice. It will be a guided meditation where our attention will be drawn to experiencing where attention is taking place.
